How to Send USDT TRC-20: Step-by-Step Guide

Send USDT on TRON safely: the right network, the right address and enough resources, step by step for wallets and exchanges.

Sending USDT on TRON takes seconds — as long as three things are right: the network, the address and the resources to pay for it.

Before you send

  1. Network: TRC-20 (TRON). The recipient's address must start with T and have 34 characters. If they gave you an address starting with 0x, that's a different network — see sent to the wrong network.
  2. Resources. You need TRX for fees, or energy. Check today's cost on USDT fee today; it's about double if the recipient has never held USDT.
  3. Recipient check. Paste the address into our USDT blacklist check: a frozen address can't move what it receives.

Step by step (any TRON wallet)

  1. Open your wallet and select USDT (TRC-20). Make sure it's the real token — contract TR7NHqjeKQxGTCi8q8ZY4pL8otSzgjLj6t.
  2. Tap Send and paste the recipient's address — from the original source, never from your transaction history (why).
  3. Compare the full address with the source, not just the first and last characters.
  4. Enter the amount and review the fee (TRX burned, energy used, or GasFree fee).
  5. Confirm. The transfer usually completes in a few seconds.
  6. Share the transaction ID with the recipient if they ask; they can check it on TRONSCAN.

From an exchange

On the withdrawal page choose USDT, then network TRC-20 / TRON, paste the address and confirm. The exchange charges its own fee — compare them on USDT TRC-20 withdrawal fees.
