What is energy on TRON?
Energy is the resource consumed by smart contract calls such as TRC-20 transfers. If an account has no energy, TRX is burned instead at 100 SUN (0.0001 TRX) per unit of energy. Energy is obtained by staking TRX or renting it from other users.
What is bandwidth on TRON?
Bandwidth is consumed by every transaction in proportion to its size in bytes. Each account gets a small free daily allowance; beyond that, TRX is burned at 1000 SUN per byte.
Why is my USDT TRC-20 fee so high?
A USDT transfer uses about 64,285 energy, or 130,285 when the recipient has never held USDT. Without staked or rented energy this is paid by burning TRX, about 6.77 TRX at current prices.
