How to revoke an approval

We only read data — we never ask you to connect a wallet. Revoke from your own wallet:

  1. 1Check your address above and note the token and the spender you don't trust.
  2. 2Open that token's contract on TRONSCAN (type the token contract address in the TRONSCAN search), go to Contract → Write Contract and connect your wallet.
  3. 3Find approve, enter the spender address and 0 as the amount, and confirm in your wallet.
  4. 4Check your address here again — the approval should be gone.

A revoke is a contract transaction: it costs some energy, or TRX if you have none. Make sure you are on tronscan.org before connecting a wallet.

Stay safe

  • Never approve tokens on a site you reached from an ad, a DM or a "support" chat.
  • Prefer exact-amount approvals over unlimited ones.
  • Revoke approvals for dApps you no longer use.
  • Before sending USDT, run a blacklist check on the recipient.

What is a token approval on TRON?

An approval (allowance) lets a smart contract move a TRC-20 token from your address, for example so a DEX can swap your USDT. It stays active until you change it.

Why are unlimited approvals dangerous?

If the approved contract is malicious or gets hacked, it can move all of that token from your address at any time, without asking you again. Most "drained wallet" cases on TRON start with an approval signed on a phishing site.

How do I revoke a TRC-20 approval?

Set the allowance for that spender back to zero by calling approve(spender, 0) on the token contract from your wallet. The steps are below. It is a normal contract transaction, so it costs a little energy or TRX.

Does revoking an approval return stolen tokens?

No. Revoking only stops future spending. Tokens already moved cannot be recalled.
