TRON testnet FAQ
How do I get free TRX on the Nile testnet?
Open the Nile faucet (nileex.io), paste your address, pass the captcha and click Obtain — once per 24 hours per wallet and IP. Or send !nile <address> to TronFAQBot in the TRON developer Telegram or Discord.
Can I get test USDT on TRON?
Yes: the TronFAQBot commands !nile_usdt and !shasta_usdt send test USDT on Nile and Shasta. TRON’s docs state a limit of 2,000 per token on each network every 24 hours.
Nile or Shasta — which testnet should I use?
Nile is where new java-tron versions and proposals are tested first, so it is closer to upcoming mainnet behaviour. Shasta mirrors mainnet parameters more conservatively. Both have TronGrid endpoints and explorers.
Is testnet TRX worth anything?
No. Testnet coins have no value and cannot be moved to mainnet. Anyone selling testnet TRX is running a scam.
