What is a TRON hex address?
The same 21-byte account as the base58 address: the 0x41 prefix followed by 20 bytes. java-tron APIs return it in hex (41…); wallets show the base58check form starting with T.
How do I convert a TRON address to an Ethereum-style 0x address?
Drop the 41 prefix from the hex form and add 0x. TRON smart contracts (and the JSON-RPC API) see addresses this way, which is why a TRON contract call parameter looks like an Ethereum address.
Is a 0x address on TRON the same account as on Ethereum?
The bytes can be identical, but TRON and Ethereum are different chains. Funds sent to the Ethereum address on Ethereum are not on TRON, and vice versa. Never send across networks.
How is the base58 address built?
Take the 21-byte hex (41 + 20 bytes), append the first 4 bytes of SHA-256(SHA-256(bytes)) as a checksum, and encode the 25 bytes in base58. The checksum is why a single typo makes the address invalid.
