USDT Blacklist on TRON: How to Check if an Address Is Frozen
How Tether’s USDT blacklist works on TRON, how to check an address straight from the contract, and what a freeze means for you.

Tether can freeze USDT on any address by adding it to the blacklist in the USDT contract. Before a large or first-time payment, it's worth checking that the recipient isn't frozen — USDT sent to a blacklisted address can't be moved again.
How to check an address
Paste it into our USDT blacklist check. We ask the USDT contract on TRON directly (isBlackListed), so the answer is the same one the contract uses to block transfers. The same page also shows other risk signals and the address's balances.
What a freeze means
- The frozen address can't send USDT.
- USDT sent to it is stuck there too.
- Tether can later destroy the frozen balance and reissue it — typically after a law-enforcement request, to the rightful owner.
Why addresses get frozen

If you received USDT from a frozen address
Your USDT isn't frozen — the freeze applies to the blacklisted address itself. Some exchanges and AML services may still flag funds that passed through such addresses, so keep records of the payment. See is my USDT clean?.
If your own address is frozen
Only Tether can remove it from the blacklist. Contact Tether support with proof of ownership and the circumstances. There's no on-chain way to unfreeze, and anyone offering to "unfreeze" for a fee is a scammer.
